Use THIS Industry FIX To Get MORE Gigs FASTER

By Matthew Vultaggio

August 10, 2024

Do you struggle to book consistent gigs even though you know you’re good enough to be playing to large crowds that are hungry for great music?

Not having regular gigs  isn’t simply a sad & lonely thing for artists and DJs, it can actually lead to your music being ignored, having no gigs booked whatsoever, and your music career not seeing the growth it deserves.

I’m going to reveal what the simple industry fix to this problem is, how any level of artist can easily transform themselves from a lonely bedroom producer to “the artist that always has bookings” and give you concrete examples of how artists like you are blowing up their tour calendars by harnessing this 1 epic cheat code.

Why 97% Of Artists Struggle To Get Booked

But first let’s answer the question of why great artists struggle to get booked and why it’s so important to solve this problem early or else you can fall into a never ending cycle of being ignored by bookers and promoters.

The answer is simple: artists without gigs aren’t reaching out to music venues and talent buyers at a volume and consistency that is enough to truly move the needle.

If you don’t ask, you won’t receive… but what if you don’t know how to find the right people to contact or you don’t have the time or energy to hunt them down in the first place?

The Industry Trick To Always Having A Full Tour Calendar

This is where the industry trick I’ve been teasing all video comes into play: artists and booking agents with a healthy stream of gigs have a rolodex of venues and talent buyers that they can contact at any time to secure a gig.

…but what if you don’t have a booking agent or the 5-10 years it takes to build up your own rolodex of contacts?

Newer and smarter artists can use a brand new tool called Booking-Agent.io AKA the music industry’s most advanced live music venue and talent buyer search engine.

By typing the name of artists on your level or artists that you’d like to open for, this tool uses AI to uncover real venue and talent buyer contact information for every venue in the world that they’ve played.

With one click on any of the venues that pop up, you not only get the emails of talent buyers and event managers, but also helpful things like venue capacity, addresses, and more.

How To Use Booking-Agent.IO To Book More Gigs Faster

Let’s take a closer look at how you can use Booking.Agent.IO To book gigs much faster and much more easily.

First, you need to fire it up and start typing in different Artist, Band, or DJ names into the search bar:

As you can see from the video above, it’s possible to search for other smaller and larger artists to reveal precious contact information for venues you might want to play at.

You can then save everything to a “My Saved Venues” folder and even name them based on artist, genre, location, or whatever you want.

Here’s how I’m using it right now…

How I’m Using Booking-Agent.IO To Get More Gigs As A DJ

Right now I’m using Booking-Agent.IO to help build up a library of contact information for talent buyers in the 3 markets I’m focusing on right now: Vancouver, Toronto and Mexico City.

By focusing my searches on artists on my level and larger artists I can open for, I’m able to save a solid variety of contact info for each area by using Booking-Agent.IO’s “My Saved Venues” feature in a super useful way.

With Best Friends Club, I’m in a unique position where I can spend my summers in Vancouver, my winters in Mexico City, and Toronto for all the other seasons in between.

This means I’m able to spend 2 to 3 months (or more) in each area to add some in-person networking into the mix which should pair nicely with the online reach out I’m able to do with Booking Agent.IO.

Conclusion

Booking-Agent.IO is a powerful way to speed up the discovery of contact info. The way it allows you to search by artist is a helpful way to make sure you’re finding the right venues (in addition to the right people at those venues).

But that is just the first step…

Once you have the contact information, you then need to actually reach out to your contacts to make sure you secure the gig.

If you’d like me to make a video on reach out with templates for emails and an Electronic Press Kit, let me know by commenting below.

In the future, I’d love to see Booking-Agent.IO add the ability to create a “Filtered Search” so you can discover venues by things like genres, location, and venue capacity.

For now though, this is a really cool and powerful option for artists at any level that are looking to book more gigs.
